At Marla Laramie Photography we love our Tweens & Teens as much as our high school Seniors!  While we have had Senior Model Teams for quite a few years, we’re excited to announce our very first teams of Tweens & Teens.  We will be selecting three groups of friends — a team of 6th grade girls, a team of 7th/8th grade girls, and a team of 9th/10th grade girls.  To participate you need a group of 3-5 friends who are outgoing, friendly, and love being photographed.  You will also need your parents’ permission.  You’ll get to participate in your own super fun, customized photo shoot and will be asked to show off some of those pictures on social media.

Follow Marla Laramie Photography on Instagram (@marlalaramie) and Facebook (http://Facebook.com/MarlaLaramiePhotography) to keep up with details!

Conner Lewter attends Madison Academy and is currently completing his senior year. His favorite memory from his high school journey thus far has been winning two state championships in football. He has narrowed his college hunt down to Auburn and Harding, and has not yet decided on a major. The two things he will miss the most about home is his family and dog. The number one thing Conner wishes to accomplish in life is to raise a family centered around Christ.

We love you Conner and wish you the best!

Much Love,

Mrs. Marla and Claire

Miss. Bethany Lusk attends Madison Academy and is currently working on completing her senior year. Her favorite thing about high school is cheering underneath the Friday night lights for Mustang Football. She explains that she was upset at first about changing schools in the eighth grade, but she has ended up loving it and has decided it was a great decision. She is looking to continue her education at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas where she will major in physical therapy. She is most looking forward to meeting new people when she arrives at her new campus come next fall. Bethany has two siblings, Abbey, age fifteen, and Rylan, age fourteen.

I have had the lovely blessing of getting to know Bethany throughout our years together at Madison Academy. We grew into close friends because we both cheered on the same squad, and spent numerous hours together at cheer camp, practice, and at the games. I have always loved how real Bethany is and how she does not mind speaking her mind; yet Bethany is also very laid back, and can light up the room when she jokes around. I know she will do great things at Harding and further more into her career due to her strong, yet gentle, spirit. I have also observed her care about her family and love on them. This tells me that she will be more than great to her patients one day. We wish you the best Bethany! We know you will do wonders!

Miss. Mary Susan Mobley

By: Claire McKee

Mary Susan first blessed the world with her presence on September 20, 1996 in Huntsville, Alabama. She is currently a senior at Madison Academy, but will soon be on her way to either Auburn or The University of North Alabama where she will pursue a degree in either teaching or physical therapy. Inside of school, her favorite subject is Science. Outside of school, she loves spending time with her family and friends. She thinks something that has impacted her recently is the realization of how fast time really does go by. Mary Susan understands that looking back, the years leading up to her senior year have flown by, and therefore she is now awaiting how much faster her last year as a high school student will fly by too.

I have been around Mary Susan for quite some time, whether it be at school for the last six years, or when we were kids and use to play summer softball together. One adjective I can say without hesitation Mary Susan is, is, “pleasant.” She has always greeted me with a “hello,” and she always has a smile on her face. Mary Susan is also a great listener, one characteristic our fast, loud world has unfortunately put on the back burner. She has always listened to me until I am completely done with a story, and then shares what she wants to say. I believe that this shows her humility, as well as her grace. I think no matter where she decides to go for her college education, and even more so what she decides to study, she will do wonders. Whether it be her patients as a physical therapist, or her students as a teacher, she will abound in greatness, because of her beautiful, kind, happy spirit and great listening ears.

We wish Mary Susan the best as she abounds onto this new frontier! We know you will do great things!

With Great Love,
Mrs. Marla and Claire

Meet Claire.  She’s the new Social Media Goddess, er, Manager for Marla Laramie Photography.   If you’re thinking you recognize her that’s because she was one of our fabulous 2014 Senior Models (and my kids’ babysitter-extraordinaire).  When I decided to look for someone to take over social media for MLP Claire immediately came to mind as a perfect fit.

Those of you who already know Claire know she is charming, witty, and fun.  And her writing style reflects that.  So guess who will be writing blog posts from now on?!  One of the exciting new projects we have in the works includes doing features of each client on the blog.  She’ll also be bringing a fresh, youthful perspective to the blog so you’ll want to tune in regularly.  Claire will be handling Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook posts in addition to the Blog.

Claire just graduated from Madison Academy and is headed to Birmingham to attend Samford in August.  Go check out her own blog too, she’s written some fantastic articles.:)
