All Together

Ok, so I’m a little late with this post, but as promised here are a few more shots of family togetherness.  I just loved how this family interacted together.  They were so fun and playful with each other.

I just loved this sweet father-son moment.

The Littlest One

Sweet Gemma may be the littlest one of this family but she’s by no means the least!  She was in a race to discover everything around her and very little time to stop and look at the silly lady with the camera. :)   With a little persistence and a little bit of goofiness I able to capture these heart-stoppers.

Be sure to check back later this weekend or Monday for a few shots of family togetherness!

All. Boy.

Daniel is the boy amongst three sisters, so he’s surrounded by girls.  But after mere seconds its clear to see he’s all boy.  He had the best time running, jumping, and playing ball.  And he has the most contagious smile … seriously you see his smile and you can’t help but smile back.  He was loads of fun and I really enjoyed chasing him all around the park.

Tune in tomorrow for sweet Gemma, the littlest one of the bunch.

First!

Miss Rebecca was really excited about our photo session, and promptly volunteered to be first!  I had so much fun with her, picking out spots all around the park.  And she’s as big a Hannah Montana fan as my daughter, who also happens to be one of her best friends. :)

Stay tuned tomorrow for the only boy in the family … he’s totally out-numbered by his three sisters!

Sunkissed

Saturday I spent the morning in the park with a fabulous family of six.  This mom and dad were so smart, they brought a soccer ball and a football with them to toss around.  It worked out great for them to have something fun to do while I did individual shots of each kid.  I’m going to tease their mom by featuring one kid each day instead of all at once … but the good news is that means more pictures!

Annabel is the oldest, and was a total pro!  She was the quietest of the bunch and her favorite book is Inkheart.  She told me she can’t wait to see the movie when it comes out on DVD. :)

Enjoy the first part of your sneak peek!  Be sure to check back tomorrow for Rebecca’s feautre.

2010 Senior Sneak Peak – Blake

On Friday I had my first 2010 senior rep session, with Blake.  Now I know most guys don’t enjoy getting their picture taken, but he was such a great sport … not a single complaint, not even any eye-rolling!   He was up for whatever shots I suggested and did such a great job.  Thanks to Blake and his mom, Suzanne, for hanging in there with me.  I really enjoyed meeting you both.

Here’s your sneak peek … and I’ll add them to Facebook later, too.  Enjoy!

This one is my favorite so far.  I love the light and the play of the shadows on the brick wall.

Gotta love some sun flare. :)

Dance.

I’m so glad Sarah decided to take ballet again this year.  Last year she switched from ballet to gymnastics, but this year dance won out.  Her recital is coming up in a couple of months, and I can’t wait to watch her dance.  My beautiful, beautiful girl, how much you’ve grown and how graceful you look.

Now for a few business-y items.  Be sure to check back often this week, as I have a couple of sessions to share.  First up is the first of my senior spokesmodels for 2010, then a fun family of six.  And I’ve got a couple of announcements coming up to share with you.  I’m still looking for a few more senior spokesmodels for 2010, and I’ll be announcing the details of a new contest soon to find them.  So if you know of a 2009 junior who is fun, outgoing, and active be sure to to point them here to the blog for details in the next week or so.

Client Perspective: Part Three

I bet you thought I’d forgotten all about these client perspective posts, huh?  Well, I didn’t.

OK, so I did.  But I remembered. :)

This sweet family is one of my favorites, and I’ve been lucky enough to photograph them more than once now.  Each time their love and affection for each other comes shining through.  These adorable kiddos never fail to make me laugh and smile.  They’re little fun magnets and their joy is so contagious!

In their mama’s own words:

Three favorite images?!  I can’t pick.  Okay, Okay.
I love the picture of Jamie with his tongue sticking out.   He was two when these pictures were taken and was beginning to lose all of his sweet babyness.  The tongue thing was pretty much Jamie’s permanent facial expression for his first year or two of life.  It was at times adorable, worrisome (is this kid going to look like this at Prom?!), and pretty funny during his really-fat baby phase.  We can’t believe you captured it for us!

We also can’t resist the ones of Merritt jumping up in the air.  This kid has so much energy and enthusiasm and spends most of her time listening to us say “Merritt, calm down!”  This time she didn’t have to!

And we have to say “Kudos to Marla” for getting the first (and still only) good shot of BOTH Merritt and Jamie together.  We’ve gone through rolls of film (or memory chips) trying to get them to smile together, or even just look pleasant, without someone in a headlock (usually Jamie) or someone being bitten (usually Merritt!).  Still not sure how you did it!

And just to prove it wasn’t a fluke, and that they do love each other, here are a couple from their holiday session back in November.  Don’t they just make you melt?! :)

Happy Birthday, Beautiful Girl

Four years ago today, our second child was born.  I always knew I’d love her, but I had no idea just how much.  I can’t even imagine our life without her anymore.  Sweet Anna, you make us laugh every day.  You are such a joy to be around, your enthusiasm for life and everything in it is hard to resist.  I love to hear you laugh … its the biggest reason why I love to tickle you.  At four your favorite things are so easy to see.  You love the computer (almost as much as Mommy), you could jump on the trampoline for hours, and ride your bike all day.  You love silly jokes (How do you make a tissue dance?  You put a little boogie in it.).  You dance even when there is no music to hear … or you just make your own.  You sing in bed at night, you sing in the car, you sing in the grocery store (Jingle Bells in February anyone?).  I love how you’re making friends and how much you enjoy them.  You’re so even tempered most of the time … when you do lose your temper … LOOK OUT!  Truth be told, I love every. single. thing. about you.  Happy birthday sweet girl.

Last week was picture day at dance class.  Naturally I had to take some of my own later at home.

My Three Favorite People on Earth

My three favorite people on earth are my husband and my two girls (sorry Mom, you, Dad, and Chad come in right behind them!).  Of course I take tons and tons of photos of the girls … my forever guinea pigs.  Rarely does Elliot let me photograph him.  But he’ll do it for his girls.  He’s a big giant, marshmallow, softie for those two.

Last year our neighborhood had its first annual Daddy Daughter Sweetheart Dance.  They had it at our neighborhood clubhouse, with sweets, lots of music and dancing, and a flower and a balloon for each girl to take home.  The girls and I somehow convinced Elliot that he should take them, and they had so much fun they were excited to do it again this year.  In fact, Anna still talks about last year’s dance and was so excited about this year’s dance that she was in tears Thursday night because she had to wait TWO MORE WHOLE DAYS.

I feel so lucky to have a husband who chooses to be so involved in his girls’ lives.  They couldn’t ask for a better dad.  And I just love that one day they will be able to look back at all the memories he made time to create with them.

And a flashback from last year …
