I hadn&#039;t realized that you were catholic. In Quebec and French Canadian families, the main meal is traditionally held on Christmas Eve when everyone gets back from Church (theoretically midnight, but sometimes earlier). Then everyone opens the presents, so Christmas Day is a day of rest.</description>
